MLOps Field Engineer

Description

Canonical — the company behind Ubuntu, the world's most widely deployed open source platform powering cloud, AI, IoT, and enterprise infrastructure for 1,200+ colleagues across 75+ countries — is hiring an MLOps Field Engineer to help global organisations embrace AI and ML using the latest open source capabilities on public and private cloud infrastructure, Linux, and Kubernetes. The role is fully home-based and open to candidates anywhere in the world, with teams actively growing across EMEA, Americas, and APAC timezones. You'll act as a cloud and ML solutions architect: designing and deploying private and public cloud environments tailored to customer workloads, handing over production-ready solutions to support or managed services teams, and contributing to Kubernetes operators and Linux infrastructure-as-code in Python. Canonical is a pioneer of globally distributed remote collaboration, operates with very few office-based roles, and brings the whole company together two to four times per year in interesting locations worldwide.
