Kalepa — the AI company building professional-grade intelligence for the $7T global commercial insurance industry, backed by IA Ventures and Inspired Capital with team members from Facebook, Palantir, Google, Amazon, McKinsey, Mastercard, and Uber, with global team offsites in Playa del Carmen, Rome, Buenos Aires, Lisbon, and Cartagena — is hiring experienced backend engineers based anywhere in Europe (Full Remote). Roles are part of the core engineering team building Kalepa's AI operating system for insurance decisions: services, data models, intelligence pipelines, and evaluation loops. European engineers work on B2B contractor/freelancer agreements (no entity in Europe; no visa sponsorship). Python is the primary stack, with AWS, PostgreSQL, Lambda, EC2, and async workflows. Global offsites bring the distributed team together multiple times per year.
