Commercial FinOps Lead

Description

Supabase — the open-source Postgres development platform born remote with no offices anywhere in the world, used by hundreds of thousands of developers at companies including OpenAI, Mozilla, and 1Password — is hiring a Commercial FinOps Lead to own the commercial and vendor-management function from the ground up, working fully from anywhere globally. You'll run Supabase's cloud and SaaS vendor relationships end-to-end (AWS, GCP, Cloudflare, ClickHouse, and more), lead renewals and negotiations alongside Finance and Legal, enforce procurement governance through competitive-bid processes, drive the VIA (Visibility, Insights, Actions) operating model across vendor spend, build spend reporting and dashboards from scratch, and own the commercial interface across the company. This is a founding role: the operating model, the source of truth for vendor spend, and the standards are yours to define. Supabase hires globally with no exceptions, provides a WeWork or co-working allowance usable anywhere in the world, covers 100% of health insurance for employees wherever they are, and operates fully asynchronously.
