The Market Data team owns the architecture of Alpaca's data products (stocks, options, crypto, FX markets) and their public APIs covering both streaming and historical endpoints. This is low-latency, mission-critical work — every nanosecond counts. You'll influence the overall architecture of Alpaca's market data systems, design highly scalable systems, implement backend services in Go (Alpaca's primary language for critical services), maintain high quality test coverage, participate in code reviews, and troubleshoot production incidents. Strong Go, SQL, TCP/IP and UDP networking, Linux/BSD, Kubernetes/GKE, and GCP experience required. Alpaca's 400+ team members span the USA, Canada, Japan, Hungary, Nigeria, Brazil, the UK, and beyond.
