Supabase — the open-source Postgres development platform used by 7M+ registered developers and thousands of enterprises, born-remote and open-source-first with ~400 team members across 60+ countries, over $1B raised including a $500M Series F, and 540,000+ community members — is hiring a Frontend Engineer, working fully remotely from anywhere in the world. Team Frontend owns the tooling for the marketing and docs website plus the core product, Studio, used by millions of developers. You will ship products 0 to 1 and then earn the next version from users, taking features from a blank editor to real users in production and deciding what to build next from support threads, usage data, and direct conversations. You will also own the quality pipeline rather than just the feature: in a world where an agent writes a large share of the code, CI is what keeps that speed safe, so you will build layered checks spanning type safety at the boundaries, lint and format, unit and component tests, contract tests against the APIs, accessibility, visual regression, and bundle-size budgets. When something slips through, you add the check that would have caught it at the cheapest stage that can. Work is end-to-end and in the open, across frontend UI, API contracts, preview deploys, and observability, in a codebase thousands of developers read and contribute to. Requirements: a track record taking a product 0 to 1 that you can point to; deep frontend fundamentals with strong TypeScript and React, including SSR, streaming, server components, and edge; a genuine quality-and-tooling mindset with experience wiring pipelines using Vitest, Playwright, MSW or equivalents; comfort working with AI coding agents, reviewing what they produce and giving them guardrails to verify their own work; and autonomy with strong async written communication.
